The site is situated on the junction of High Road and London Road, Wembley. High Road is recognised as the main central route through Wembley Central running east/west. The High Road is a busy retail street, with a bustling atmosphere throughout the day. It is home to many well know high street chains as well as a large number of independent retailers and service providers.
The existing property is a three storey end of terrace building comprising a mix of retail, office and residential accommodation. The ground floor is currently used as retail accommodation with associated storage to the rear and basement, with vacant offices to the first floor, and two self-contained flats to the first floor.
The proposal is to demolish the existing properties on the site and to create up to 70 residential units in a building up to 15 storeys in height.
The scheme will provide around 1200 m2 of high quality retail space located on the ground and 50 m2 of community use space at first floor level, as well approximately 3500 m2 of residential units located from 1st floor upwards.
